Eastern Kentucky PRIDE is please to announce the availability of Environmental Education Grant Applications for the 2009 school year. Each organization can apply for up to $3,500 for environmental education projects such as: outdoor classrooms, butterfly and wildlife habitat development, wetlands, woodlands/arboretum, aquaculture, horticulture/agriculture projects and watershed studies relevant to the region. The application can be downloaded at www.kypride.org. Grant applications must be post marked by April 30, 2009. Funding is available to schools and non-profit organizations in the following counties: Adair, Bath, Bell, Breathitt, Casey, Clay, Clinton, Cumberland, Floyd, Green, Harlan, Jackson, Johnson, Knott, Knox, Laurel, Lawrence, Lee, Leslie, Letcher, Magoffin, Martin, McCreary, Menifee, Metcalfe, Monroe, Morgan, Owsley, Perry, Pike, Pulaski, Rockcastle, Rowan, Russell, Taylor, Wayne, Whitley and Wolfe.
